Can I offer my own products for others to rent on Rentkar?
Not yet—but we're actively working on enabling community-powered sharing, where trusted users can list their own verified products and earn from idle tech. In the future, this will allow creators, freelancers, and tech-savvy individuals to turn expensive gear into income.
What is co-ownership on Rentkar?
Co-ownership is an upcoming feature that lets users partially own high-value items with others in the Rentkar community. You invest a small amount to own a fraction of a product—like a MacBook, GoPro, or gaming setup—and get guaranteed time-slots to use it, or let others rent it out and earn credits. It's a hybrid between renting and owning, ideal for creators, gamers, and early adopters who want access without paying the full price upfront.
How does Rentkar make sharing trustworthy and safe?
Every user goes through Aadhaar-based verification before renting. Products are insured, tracked, and reviewed for damages. We also maintain a strong internal quality-control and replacement system to handle any issues. Soon, we'll launch a trust score based on usage, returns, and referrals that encourages good behavior and strengthens the Rentkar community.
What is the Rentkar vendor network?
Verified partners who list their gear on Rentkar. We check every unit, run the delivery, KYC, support and returns, and cover partners with Rentkar Shield. For renters it's the same price and service, delivered within 24 hours.
